About CAS Lab

The Virginia Tech Laboratory for Coordination at Scale, or CAS Lab, studies autonomy in large-scale systems. We place particular emphasis on the relationship between agent-to-agent interaction and scalable decentralized coordination. Our primary research interests fall into the following areas:

  • Networked Dynamical Systems and Distributed Control
  • Decentralized Decision-Making and Optimization
  • Heterogeneous Multi-Robot Coordination
  • Ultra Large-Scale Systems, such as Swarms, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cloud/Fog Computing for Distributed Autonomy

See our YouTube channel for videos of our recent work. We are always interested in creative, self-motivated individuals. Contact us for opportunities to join CAS Lab.
